Biography
Rhys is an actor/artist born in Wellington, New Zealand.
After leaving school he went straight into a screen-printing apprenticeship where he extensively learned image making within the commercial context. Rhys has maintained a close involvement in printing industry over the years while exploring a variety of creative outlets.
He also attended the New Zealand College of Performing Arts where he completed a diploma in performance art.
"I like being involved in anything creative, as there is nothing more satisfying than seeing the results of your hard work come together".
Rhys passion for creativity and a love of the New Zealand landscape culminated in a series of original limited addition screen-prints. After a couple of years of experimentation he came across using clear matt acrylic as his medium which he then printed on both sides to give the look of depth to his art work, the result is what you see now.
Rhys debuted his art at the 2010 New Zealand Art Show and is now looking to showcase his art throughout New Zealand and overseas.
